Nicole Blute Appointed AWWA Division Trustee

(LOS ANGELES, CA – February 16, 2015) - Nicole Blute of Hazen and Sawyer was appointed a Trustee of the Water Science and Research Division of the American Water Works Association (AWWA).

Dr. Blute will serve a three year term that begins in June 2015. Her role will include supporting program development for the AWWA Water Quality and Technology Conference and other AWWA conferences and symposia, and working closely with division committees as the assigned liaison.

The Water Science and Research Division has three goals: to identify and communicate research needs related to water supply and treatment; to encourage basic and applied research by water utilities, educational institutions, consultants, manufacturers, government agencies and other appropriate entities; and to disseminate research results of interest to those in the field of water supply and treatment.

Since our founding in 1951, Hazen and Sawyer has focused on two things: providing safe drinking water and controlling water pollution. Our range of services encompasses the planning, design, and construction management of water and wastewater-related projects – from clean water treatment, storage, and distribution to wastewater and stormwater collection, treatment, and reuse.
