All WQTS staff have joined the Hazen team, further expanding the Firm’s resources for advancing water treatment technologies and delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions to clients coast to coast and around the globe.

WQTS was founded in 2000 by Issam Najm PhD, PE, BCEE, a recognized expert in the science and engineering of water treatment and water quality applications. WQTS has earned a sterling reputation as a trusted partner in conducting desktop, bench-scale, and pilot-scale studies of an array of advanced drinking water treatment technologies. These include ozone application for chemical destruction, adsorption of organic chemicals such as PFAS, ion exchange for the removal of inorganics, and many more. WQTS is also known for providing technical support services to a wide range of municipal and private water agencies navigating complex treatment, regulatory, watershed, analysis, and educational needs.
“We at WQTS are very happy to join the Hazen family,” said WQTS President Dr. Najm, who will transition to Vice President at Hazen and a leader in the Firm’s drinking water group, focusing on impacting its western water practice. "I’m immensely proud of the work we’ve done over the past 25 years to support utilities through our research and advisory services."
“By joining Hazen, we’ll be able to leverage expanded resources, extend our reach, and provide more diverse opportunities for the growth and development of our staff. We look forward to continuing to partner with our clients to meet their water treatment goals, all with the exceptional technical prowess and level of service that Hazen and WQTS are jointly recognized for.” - Dr. Najm
