Hazen’s Jim Barsanti and Kati Bell Named 2025 WEF Fellows

(RALEIGH, NC – Sept 19, 2025) – Jim Barsanti and Kati Bell of Hazen and Sawyer have been named as Water Environment Federation (WEF) Fellows for 2025.
Created to celebrate outstanding contributions to the global water sector by long-time members, the WEF Fellows Recognition Program recognizes the professional achievement, stature, and contributions of WEF members to the preservation and enhancement of the global water environment. These professionals have made a lasting difference for public health and the environment.
Jim was nominated as a representative of the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA). With nearly 40 years of experience in engineering, regulation, and public works, he is a Senior Associate at Hazen and a longtime WEF and NEWEA leader. Jim is widely recognized for his technical expertise, mentorship, and dedication to advancing infrastructure, operator training, and inclusive leadership in the water sector.

Kati was nominated as a representative of the Clean Water Professionals of Kentucky and Tennessee. She is the Global Director of Technology and Innovation at Hazen, with more than 25 years of expertise in water reuse, disinfection, and emerging contaminants. A past president of the International UV Association, Kati is also an active WEF and WateReuse Association leader, author, and adjunct professor.
