Hazen Names Gregg Cummings Senior Associate

(SAN FRANCISCO, CA – July 8, 2019) – Hazen and Sawyer has announced the appointment of Gregg Cummings as Senior Associate and Senior Project Manager.

Mr. Cummings has over 30 years of experience in water, wastewater, and water reuse including program and facility planning, pilot testing, studies, design, and construction of water-related infrastructure. His projects have required extensive coordination with multidisciplinary teams, regulators, and public agencies and outreach to the public.

Mr. Cummings has successfully delivered projects for SFPUC, Port of Oakland, Presidio Trust, City of San Jose, LASAN, and many other public agencies throughout California. He has a broad background in project management that includes a focus on water, wastewater, and water reuse but also includes engineering services during construction and project startup. His background began as a staff engineer on a stormwater pump station in Milpitas and a water treatment plant expansion in Napa, and he has also worked on remediation projects and environmental impact reports. Mr. Cummings is focused on strategic business development and client service with a commitment to ensuring the highest quality projects for his clients.

“Gregg’s combination of project leadership, his hands-on treatment and design experience, and his reputation for delivering for his clients make him a great resource for agencies throughout the western US,” said Kevin Alexander, Hazen and Sawyer’s Vice President and West Region Manager.

“I am excited to contribute to Hazen’s reputation as a leader in the water industry and to continue to address the water challenges faced by all of our clients here in the West,” said Mr. Cummings. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Hazen and look forward to continuing the strong history of delivering successful projects for our clients.”

Mr. Cummings has a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California Berkeley, a MS in Environmental and Structural Engineering from San Jose State University, and professional licenses in California and Oregon. He has led the local High School Outreach for the American Society of Civil Engineers for the last 25 years and has been a member of the Water Environment Federation Food Processing Waste Literature Review Committee for over 10 years. He is also a four-time Distinguished Toastmaster.
