Kate has expertise in a wide range of dam, levee, and reservoir projects. She’s developed or updated emergency action plans (EAPs) for nearly 100 dams, including dozens of high-hazard dams. Her hydraulic and hydrologic analyses have shaped the designs of dams in Maryland, North Carolina, and Georgia. Kate also develops and leads dam safety training sessions and emergency drills and manages essential communications with clients and regulators. She’s a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM), as well as a frequent presenter for the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO).
