Hazen Expands Offerings with New Data Technology Group
(RALEIGH, NC - June 18, 2026) - Hazen announces the launch of DataTech, an expansion of the firm’s digital services that applies 75 years of water and wastewater engineering expertise to help utilities navigate data decisions, develop solutions, and better serve their communities.
Hazen engineers and technologists work on water systems every day, and that first-hand knowledge is what sets DataTech apart. DataTech gives clients and project teams the benefit of that experience at every step, combining engineering expertise with advanced data analytics and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) capabilities. DataTech helps clients make better decisions, act on data with confidence, and improve utility operations to achieve measurable outcomes.
Our service areas under the new DataTech umbrella include DataTech Strategies to assist utilities in evaluating technologies that better leverage their enterprise data; DataTech Solutions to develop data-based tools that improve internal and client-focused processes; and Operational DataTech to improve SCADA and operational technologies, including cybersecurity support services, for our clients.
“This expansion of our technology-focused capabilities, coupled with our longstanding expertise in water and wastewater, will help us respond to client issues efficiently and thoroughly and will enable us to provide superior tools and solutions more effectively." --Matt Valade, Chief Technology Officer
“DataTech brings three pillars of data and technology excellence together to co-create the future of delivery in service of our clients at Hazen,” shared Rebekah Eggers, Vice President of Data and Technology. “The intent is to collaborate with our engineering teams and our clients, to connect and amplify the strengths that already exist across the firm and our partner community.”
