Yewei uses mathematical models to help design advanced biotechnologies for water and wastewater treatment—everything from biologically activated filtration (BAF) and aerobic granulation to partial-nitrification-denitrification-anammox (PANDA). He received his PhD in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, where he also received his MS and BS.
