Roger Austin Joins Hazen as Intermountain Regional Manager

(DENVER, CO - April 11, 2018) - Hazen and Sawyer announced today the appointment of Roger Austin, PE, as Vice President and Regional Manager of the Firm’s new Intermountain Region, headquartered in Denver, CO.

Austin has more than 25 years of experience providing expertise to utilities in the planning, finance, and implementation of public infrastructure. Over the course of his career, he has led development activities for a large portfolio of infrastructure projects, including water resources, water treatment, and hydroelectric projects. Austin specializes in master planning, public–private partnerships, strategic planning, and asset management. He has spent over half of his career working with clients in the Denver area.

“As our work with Denver-area utilities has grown, so has our physical presence here and adding someone of Roger’s experience is another major step forward,” said Charlie Hocking, Hazen’s President and CEO. “We’ve long known that Hazen and Sawyer is a great fit for the goals of the utilities in this region and we’re confident that Roger is the right person to lead our client support here.”

“I am excited about this new role and to be at the forefront of Hazen’s growth in this part of the country,” said Austin. “I think my experience and understanding of this region’s water management challenges will help us deliver the best solutions to our clients.”

Austin received a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a Masters in Management from Northwestern University.
