Hazen Names Andrea Odegard-Begay Senior Associate

Ms. Odegard-Begay has devoted her 20-year career to developing sustainable design alternatives across the water cycle, from source through treatment and reuse. Her previous work includes groundwater supply, drinking water and wastewater treatment, and resource recovery.

(TEMPE, AZ - March 17, 2021) - Hazen and Sawyer has announced the appointment of Andrea Odegard-Begay as Senior Associate based out the Tempe, AZ office.

Ms. Odegard-Begay has devoted her 20-year career to developing sustainable design alternatives across the water cycle, from source through treatment and reuse. Her previous work includes groundwater supply, drinking water and wastewater treatment, and resource recovery. Given her understanding of the importance of water management, she has made the protection of sensitive water bodies a fundamental part of her career.

Her specific project experience includes pilot testing studies, hydraulic analysis, solids mass balances, detailed design of pumping stations, treatment plants, solids handling facilities, and chemical handling and storage facilities, and preparation of contract documents as well as client coordination and multi-disciplinary coordination with engineers and architects.

Ms. Odegard-Begay holds a Masters in Environmental Engineering from Manhattan College and a BS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. She is a licensed PE in six states, a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Biological Drinking Water Committee, and the Water Environment Federation (WEF), and a Trustee in AZ Water and the WateReuse Arizona Section.
