Fred Gerringer D.Env, PE, BCEE
Senior Associate

Fred serves as Hazen and Sawyer’s West Region Water Reuse Practice Leader. He has managed projects at all stages of development, from initial planning and design through construction and startup. He also has extensive experience leading applied research projects in areas such as direct potable reuse and soil aquifer treatment that have benefited the potable reuse industry. Fred’s proficiency in advanced treatment processes includes membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, advanced oxidation, and ozonation. In recent years, he has applied his expertise to the management of complex water reuse projects for a variety of municipal clients. Fred was a member of the American Water Works Association California-Nevada Section and California Water Environment Association committee that developed a voluntary certification program for advanced water treatment operators in California and Nevada.
