Hazen Names Fred Gerringer Senior Associate and West Region Water Reuse Practice Leader

(LOS ANGELES, CA - June 24, 2019) - Hazen and Sawyer has announced the appointment of Dr. Fred Gerringer as Senior Associate and West Region Water Reuse Practice Leader.

Dr. Gerringer has 20 years of experience in the planning, pilot testing, study, design and construction of water reuse projects throughout California. His projects have required extensive coordination with multidisciplinary teams, regulators, multiple public agencies and outreach to the public. His background started with the City of Los Angeles and with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California where he gained an eye for projects from the Owner’s perspective.

Dr. Gerringer has successfully delivered projects for Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Monterey One Water, West Basin Municipal Water District, City of San Diego, Water Replenishment District and many other public agencies throughout California. He has a broad background which not only includes water, wastewater, and water reuse planning, and design and construction projects, but also encompasses applied research and water quality evaluation projects. Dr. Gerringer is focused on strategic business development and client service with a commitment to ensuring the highest quality projects for his clients.

Dr. Gerringer has a BS degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, a MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UCLA, and a Doctor of Environmental Science and Engineering from UCLA. He is active in several industry associations, including WateReuse, WateReuse CA, the International Ozone Association and American Water Works Association.
