AWWA Webcast on Taste and Odor Causes
(HOLLYWOOD, FL – October 3, 2012) – Hazen and Sawyer, P.C. announced today that Monique Durand, an Engineer with the firm, will be on the panel for an upcoming webcast titled An Update on Causes and Solutions for Taste & Odor Issues on October 24, 2012.
This webcast will present data gathered from drinking water utilities on occurrence, frequency, and causes of taste-and-odor (T&O) issues.
The speakers will describe the different causes of T&O episodes and how other utilities prevent or treat them, and help the audience evaluate and select the most efficient, cost-effective and applicable detection, prevention, mitigation and treatment techniques to handle T&O episodes.
The webcast will also aid utilities in the design of more effective consumer relations programs that reassure the public of the safety of tap water and the proper utilization of compliant data to earlier identify problems with the source water or the distribution system.
The webcast, sponsored and hosted by the AWWA, will take place on Wednesday, October 24th, 2012 from 1:00PM-2:30PM Eastern (10:00AM-11:30AM Pacific). To register, click here or visit http://apps.awwa.org/eBusMAIN/Default.aspx?TabID=465&ProductId=29103483.
