My Role at Hazen and Sawyer
I am a Project Manager and Project Engineer. My tasks include master planning, preliminary design, detailed design and construction management services. Although I may not be as “seasoned” as others in my office, I am still given the chance to work on substantive projects that are an important part of the company’s business.
Why I Chose Hazen and Sawyer
Hazen and Sawyer is large and diverse enough to offer challenges throughout my career. There are many opportunities to be involved in a wide variety of interesting projects – each with its own unique set of issues and design solutions. My work is supported by the firm’s strong reputation in the industry as well as the breadth and depth of its long term technical experience.
I have opportunities to work with and learn from many of the company’s top experts. Formal training opportunities allow me to expand my technical base and provide me with the tools I need to solve problems. Every day, I learn something new that I can apply to future projects. Hazen and Sawyer has a culture that encourages employee development and limits the day-to-day bureaucracy common at other firms.
A Contribution I’m Proud Of
I am proud to be a contributing part of a firm that delivers quality engineering services to our clients. We have many long term clients that continue to select us for their planning and engineering needs for decades. It is important to me to be a part of a company that contributes to the greater good.
On a project level, I am proud of my work on the Town of Jupiter’s 14.5 MGD Nanofiltration Plant. I served as an integral part of the process and mechanical design team, from preliminary treatment of the raw water through the blending of the finished water with other treatment processes.
