Watershed Processes and their Impact on Dissolved Organic Matter Treatability

Authors:

  • Ben Stanford - Hazen and Sawyer

This workshop will focus on the impact of dissolved organic matter and watershed processes impacting its properties on water treatment. The participants of this workshop will: learn about recent development in the online monitoring of DOM in watersheds; understand how changes to DOM properties (due to algae growth, wastewater discharges or fires) impact treatability and formation of DBPs; and learn about the recent developments in the treatment of DOM to minimize DBP precursors.
