New WEF Publication - Wet Weather Design and Operation in Water Resource Recovery Facilities

(RICHMOND, VA – August 20, 2014) – A new WEF publication, Wet Weather Design and Operation in Water Resource Recovery Facilities, co-developed by Chris Tabor of Hazen and Sawyer, is now available.

This publication provides a comprehensive reference of current design and operational practices for dealing with the unique challenges associated with the proper management of wet weather flows. Developed by Mr. Tabor and Julian Sandino, along with 63 other technical experts (including Hazen and Sawyer’s Jamie Gellner, author of the chapter on Biological Treatment), this peer-reviewed publication is intended as a companion to Design of Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants, 5th Edition, MOP 8.

Going beyond MOP 8 by including operational-oriented considerations related to wet weather events, the text is composed of 16 chapters, grouped around planning and configuration for wet weather events in water resource recovery facilities and facility processes.
