Dawn Guendert Named Senior Associate and West Region Asset Management Practice Leader

(SAN DIEGO, CA – January 7, 2015) – Hazen and Sawyer announced today the appointment of Dawn Guendert as Senior Associate and West Region Asset Management Practice Leader. She will be based out of the firm’s San Diego office.

Ms. Guendert has more than 20 years of experience in product management and project management at recycled water and desalination facilities. Her areas of expertise include applications of membrane technology for drinking water, potable/non-potable water, and wastewater applications; treatment plant planning, pilot studies, design, procurement, and permitting; alternative water supply studies; operational performance efficiency studies; and asset management. She has also managed operational efficiency studies that have resulted in operational cost savings, increased productivity, and enhanced revenues for municipal clients.

Ms. Guendert has managed recycled water and desalination projects ranging in size from 0.5 mgd to 150 mgd. She managed a team that served as Owner’s Technical Advisor for the development of a 25 – 100 mgd seawater desalination project in Mexico and served as a technical expert Stakeholder for the City of San Diego 2012 Recycled Water Study that developed an 83 mgd potable reuse program. Additionally, Ms. Guendert has managed projects for a number of California public agencies including San Diego County Water Authority, Orange County Water District, Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation, West Basin Municipal Water District, and others.

Ms. Guendert holds a B.A Degree from the University of California – San Diego and is an active member in the American Water Works Association, the WateReuse Association, the American Membrane Technology Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Equinox Center.
